Chair Yoga in Kinver

Experience the benefits of gentle Chair Yoga

NEW Chair Yoga for Beginners

I’m so excited to share this news! I have a totally FREE offering coming up in September.
The new weekly Chair Yoga class will start on September 11th and run right the way through until mid-December.
The 14-week course will focus on fostering an enjoyment of gentle exercise to aid in healthy aging, incorporating mostly seated yoga poses (with the option to stand for some sections) and breathing techniques.
We’re going to focus on 5 key areas:
– Posture- good posture can improve balance, bodily awareness, and the ability to breathe well.
– Breath work- learning how to breathe well can improve the body’s intake of oxygen, calm the nervous system, and lead to feelings of increased well-being. Breath work can be helpful for those suffering the effects of long-Covid and other respiratory illnesses.
– Balance- building strength, focus, and bodily awareness to aid in fall prevention.
– Mobility- using joint-mobility exercises to keep joints lubricated and moving.
– Coordination- using cross-lateral, asymmetric, and bi-lateral (crossing the midline) exercises and postures to develop better coordination.
The class will be held at Kinver Senior Citizens Club on Legion Drive. It’s a comfortable, carpeted room with good acoustics and plenty warm enough in the colder months.
If you or anyone you know might be interested in this class please get in touch.
Spaces on this course are limited, so booking is essential to secure a space.
My existing Gentle Chair Yoga Class continues to run on Monday mornings 10-11am, although this is not a free class.
